Research Topics

• Natural convection over horizontal and vertical plates. Enhanced convection in a chimney. Induced ventilation in structures. Passive cooling of heat generating cylinders.
• Phase-change -materials (PCM): Melting and solidification in spherical and cylindrical shells. PCM-based sinks with internal fins. Latent-heat-storage units utilized for temperature moderation in enclosed spaces.
• Two-phase systems: Flow and heat transfer in water-air systems. Boiling of water over a vertical surface.
